Paseo de Colón, a major tourist landmark in Barcelona, receives a high flow of visitors and local residents. To preserve its optimal appearance in accordance with City Council requirements, IPL implements a comprehensive plan covering vertical surfaces and urban furniture such as pergolas, wooden/steel/stone benches, railings, and planters.

Surface coatings with anti-graffiti, water-repellent, and oil-repellent properties are applied. These treatments isolate surfaces from vandalism-, climate-, and use-related degradation—such as graffiti, pollution, beverage or oil stains, and footprints—thereby extending the service life of the materials.

Our Anti-Vandalism Plan includes periodic inspections to detect and address incidents immediately, minimizing their visibility time. We carry out on-site corrective actions, optimizing intervention efficiency and ensuring consistently high visual quality.
