Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) has implemented a complete Anti-Vandalism Plan for the protection of its facilities and mobile units. The plan ranges from accesses and platforms to internal dependencies and elements of the vehicle fleet.
The strategy is based on solutions adapted to each surface: architectural finishes and furniture protected with high-performance surface coatings, anti-vandal films, treatments on stainless steel or technical painting systems. Each solution seeks to extend the life cycle of materials and reduce costs associated with replacements and repairs.
The high daily influx of users exposes these infrastructures to constant wear and tear due to use and vandalism. For this reason, TMB is committed to a preventive strategy, where the protection of materials plays a central role in operational efficiency.
The applied coatings are formulated with advanced technologies, offer anti-graffiti properties, non-stick and water-repellent effect, and are suitable for highly demanding urban environments. In the case of prints, translucent versions are used that do not alter the original aesthetics.
