The modernist building of Palau Güell, the work of Antoni Gaudí and located on Nou de la Rambla street in Barcelona, has an anti-graffiti coating system applied by IPL to preserve its historic facades.
The protection was carried out on the first level, corresponding to the ground floor and mezzanine, covered with limestone from Garraf, saw-cut and polished. Protective treatment was also applied to access doors and original metal carpentry.
This Anti-Vandal Plan ensures an effective barrier against possible attacks with paint or inks, minimising the deterioration of the stone and allowing non-invasive cleaning, without affecting the integrity of the material.
With this intervention, IPL collaborates in the preservation of Catalan architectural heritage, protecting one of Gaudí's masterpieces against the passage of time and human action.
